I guess we should tell her she is smart too.

Everyday Kara has been telling me "I pretty Mama!".

If I do not respond to her quickly she says it again, and again, and again. Each time she says it the volume intensifies. She is convinced that she is pretty and everyone should know it.

Here is a little proof that she is right!

Late night snack

I said I would lay off the late night PB&J's. I have since replaced the PB&J's with peanut butter and fudge brownies.

Goodbye skinny jeans, hello happiness.

21 weeks

OK- so as you know we are not finding out the gender. I think it is MUCH easier to call the baby peanut instead of calling him/her "the baby" all the time. It makes me feel a little bit more of a bond with Peanut as well.

Pregnancy: 21 weeks

Weight Gain: Up 11 so far. I am good with this. I am going to lay off the late night PB&J's though.

Sleep: If my kids would stay asleep I would be ok. Jace and Kara are both cutting teeth, ergh! It has also been a little bit of an adjustment sleeping on my side since I am a tummy sleeper. Jason and I bought new pillows made for side sleepers so my neck would not be all messed up and it has helped, again it is an adjustment.

Gender: Still a surprise but Jason SWEARS he saw a penis. I think he is crazy since the dr could not even see anything, lol.

Names: We have discussed a few names and I will share them here. If you have something negative or nasty to say about them, make sure I do not hear you or it does not get back to me. I think it is rude and disrespectful to bash someones name choices. I am SICK of hearing peoples nasty comments on the names we picked. Everyone gave us a mound of crap when we chose Nylin but now, EVERY ONE loves her name and they all say it fits her perfect. I mean could you see her as a Mia? That was going to be her name before I "discovered" the name Nylin.
----stepping off the soap box-----

Girl names- Kennedi Rose or Kenley Rose, we will decide when she gets here, if she is a she.
Boy Name- Jackson John

Feeling: I still feel great. I've been feeling the effect of a bigger belly though. My hips hurt a lot and bending over is becoming more difficult but I know that is only going to get worse.

Health: I am doing GREAT! My blood pressure is right where it needs to be.

Movement: I am feeling movement all the time now. When I lie down at night I can really feel it. All the craziness tends to keep me up for a while BUT Peanut only has so much energy and eventually falls asleep, allowing Mommy to sleep.
It was super cool to see Peanut moving all over at the ultrasound. I could feel the kicks and punches and see it at the same time. I think Peanut is going to be an excellent boxer! Peanut is constantly punching the crap out of me! I thought it was kicks before but the ultrasound showed nice little fists.

Belly: My belly is nice and round now. I can't really tell if it is high or low, it is just there. My belly button is till in but it is starting to shallow out more. I doubt it will ever be an outtie since I did not have that with the other pregnancies, we will see though! No new stretch marks, not that you could tell since I have about 250 already!

Next Appointment: February 17th- I will be 25 wks.

NOW- for some pictures of our Peanut!!!!!!!

Do not let the little picture fool you. Peanut has a nice size head!

I love this picture. I love how you can see the bones in the hand and Peanut was reaching down close to the foot. It was cool to see and I am glad Dr. S captured the picture.

Ok- I know the baby looks a little like an alien here but we still love him or her, HAHA! Jason keep calling Peanut Skelator. Not nice huh?

Big 'ol Belly!

I will do a full update tomorrow but I thought I would show off my bump to you. Today I am 20wks 5 days. I am going to the doctor in the morning for the ultrasound. We are still not finding out the gender but I am SO EXCITED to see the baby on the screen.

Snow Day!

We have about 5 inches of snow on the ground. I live off of the main road so that means I am not going anywhere, nor are the children.

It is 8:36 AM and I am going crazy already. I am convinced that Old Man Winter does not have 2 toddlers stuck in his house on days like today!

One more picture

I missed a picture in Nylin's birthday post. It is one of my favorites so I thought I would share.

Nylin's 6th birthday

Yes I know it was several weeks ago but I have been busy. give me a break ok? Thanks!

We had Nylin's 6th birthday at the skating rink again, same as last year. She asked for it and she loved it, just as much as the year before. Everyone did.

I am still in disbelief that my baby is 6 years old! AHHHHH!

Here are some pics!

Pregnancy Update

How Many Weeks? 18 weeks 5 days. Seriously where is time going? I am sure it will drag from now on. The holidays just sped things up a bit!
Here is a picture from this morning-

What is baby up to?
Vernix caseosa, a greasy white substance made of lanugo, oil and dead skin cells (yum) now coats baby's skin, shielding it from the amniotic fluid. (Picture yourself after a nine-month bath, and the need for protection makes sense.)

Weight Gain: at my last appointment I had gained 5 lbs. Not bad for almost 19 wks!

Sleep: I am still sleeping pretty well. We just got new pillows and it is even better than EVER!

How big is baby?: Average size: 6.0 in, 8.5 oz, which is about the size of a mango.

Movement: I feel the baby about 3 times a day. Usually I am relaxing and I can feel him or her.

Food cravings?: not much different, just lots of salty chips.

Gender: Still do not have a feeling one way or the other, which is strange. Usually by this point I am guessing away at what I think the baby is. Our "big" ultrasound is January 20th at 10am. We are still not finding out the gender then though. We will find out when the baby gets here.

Feeling: I am still having headaches. My doctor finally put me on some medicine to help with these. I am not a huge fan of taking medicine when pregnant but these headaches are debilitating. I have thrown up from them several times, been couch ridden a few times and just been overall miserable when I have them. This is no fun for the husband or the kids. Thank God for Jason and his amazing husband/dad abilities! He has been cooking dinner, cleaning the house, doing the laundry, bathing the kids, WHATEVER, all so I can battle my headaches. I love him :)

Health: besides the headaches I think I am doing well.

Belly Button: Still in and even deeper than before.
