My night out...

I know a lot of people have been asking and wondering so here ya go!

It was AWESOME! We had so much fun.
We started the night out with dinner @ TGIFridays. I had steak and shrimp. It was delicious.

Then we headed downtown. We stayed at the Renaissance St. Louis Grand Hotel in downtown St. Louis. We had an awesome suite thanks to Heather, the grooms sister!

Then it was off to The Landing.
It gets a little fuzzy from here on out. LOL We had a great time though. We did lots of dancing and lots of goofing off. I do not have many pics as I did not bring my camera out with us. If and when people send me pics I will add them here.

this is me before I left the house though. (the full body shot tuned out super blurry since I was taking it myself and the camera timer)

No husband, no kids, what am I going to do??

I AM GOING TO HAVE FUN!!!! I actually get to go out this weekend!

I am so excited! I will be with about 10 girls. It is for my friend Candace's bachelorette party. She is getting married on October 4th. This is her last night out, lol.

It is going to be a blast. We are staying at a hotel in downtown St. Louis so no one has to drive. I have not gone out without my husband in quite sometime.

It is his turn to make sure they get fed, bathed and put to bed on time. Good luck honey!

The relaxing is over!

Wow, that did not last long. It seems like as soon as I came back to work the shoulders tensed back up, the laundry piled up, the toys mistrouisly scattered all over, the dishes piled up and the trash is overflowing. Dang it. Where does all this come from.

Hopefully since Jason is coming home this evening we will be able to knock some of that out. I have no idea how it all happened. Maybe TOO MUCH realaxing caught up with me. I wish I could twinkle my nose and everything would be clean!!! I guess that only happens on television.

Oh and dinner, what is up with that? Why does it not cook itself? Why does guilt make me make a good dinner for my kids every single night? Oh how I wish my head would let me feed them crap for dinner. LOL tonight it is homemade pizza, I am too cheap to buy take out. LOL

You be the judge.....

So a few weeks ago a friend posted this on her blog and I am JUST NOW getting around to doing it. You can go and upload a picture of yourself and someone else and see what your babies would look like. Of course I already have 2 children that I gave birth to--so I thought it would be funny to see if these kids look anything like what the website comes up with.

What do you think???

here is what they thought Jace would look like---this is kinda freaky but this looks a little like my dad when he was little.

Here is Jace for real........

here is what they say Nylin would look like...

And this is for real.....

I am very relaxed....

how long does it last?

I just took a few days off work and I go back tommorow. I needed some time to get right. I have been negelcting myself quite a bit lately. I am a mother and a wife and I tend to put those things in front of myself. I have been getting sick a lot. There has just been too much going on in our lives and I failed to see that I was having a hard time juggling it all.
It started to show in my health, my job, my house and my attitude.

Hopefully a 5 day weekend is just what the dr ordered. We are trying to clear our calendar so that we do not have as much to do. It is hard to do when there is just so many things going on. We are just going to have to start saying NO, I have not been good with that. I always want to be at every event every time. We can not do that anymore. Luckily I have Jason to tell me or to tell everyone else no. No is no longer a word to just use with my children, I need to say it to everyone.

I am not sure who reads this, not many people reply, and that is okay. Just typing this stuff and seeing it in black and white makes it more real for me. It makes me feel so much better about myself and about myself. Some days I do not even want to get out of bed, much less take care of everything I need to. Just putting it in black in white really helps, much like a teenagers diary. I guess this is the diary of 2008.

No pictures today. I am not sure what kind of picture would even go with this sort of post.

If you never read another one of my posts, Please read this one!

If you have a chance you should watch today's Oprah show online. Today's episode was the most shocking show I have ever seen on online predators. My jaw was literally dropped for over half of the show.

There are things out there that I knew existed but not in the high numbers that they were presenting today. I guess unless you are affected personally or know someone that has been, you do not realize the extent of the problem in this country.

Oprah said-
"The number of pedophiles and child pornographers online would literally blow your mind, and the demand is so high for new material that the videos and photographs are getting more brutal with younger and younger baby victims,"

On the Oprah show today she read aloud an instruction manual circulating around the internet telling predators just how to molest and rape girls as little as newborn babies. It told how to use pacifiers to penetrate children. It told the size pencil predators should use to penetrate girls depending on their age. It also told how to videotape it, and how to not get caught.

In a perfect world things like this would not happen. We do not live in that world. Maybe by helping to get this bill passed we can make it just a little safer for the children here in this country. Maybe it will help to get some boots on the ground and in these guys asses.

Most child molesters are people the children know. They groom the children to think it is ok and it is what everyone else is doing. As a mother of three, 2 girls and a boy- I can not even imagine if someone ever violated one of my children. I can not even think about it. It overwhelms me and I think I would have serious nightmares about it. I can however make a difference by writing to my State Senators- which is exactly what I am going to do.

I do not care if you are Democrat, Republican or Independent, you need to take a look at this bill and DO SOMETHING.

for anyone in MO- here is a direct link to a list of Senators in this state. http://www.senate.mo.gov/08info/senalpha.htm

Here is what I copied from the Oprah.com

Hundreds of thousands of children are victims of sexual abuse each year. Due to the sheer lack of resources, law enforcement is unable to follow up on the majority of leads they have.

The PROTECT Our Children Act will:

Authorize over $320 million over the next five years in desperately needed funding for law enforcement to investigate child exploitation.
Mandate that child rescue be a top priority for law enforcement receiving federal funding.
Allocate funds for high-tech computer software that can track down Internet predators.
Act Now!
Your U.S. senators will be voting on the bill soon, so it is crucial you contact them immediately.
Go to www.senate.gov to find contact information for the senators in your state. Search for your senator by name or state by clicking on the arrow from either dropdown menu. Contact information is provided here. To send an e-mail, click on "Web Form" below his or her name, and e-mail your letter to make a difference!

Call Your Senators
If you choose to contact your senators by phone, be sure to tell them, "Vote yes on Senate Bill 1738—The PROTECT Our Children Act."

Write to Your Senators
If you choose to write a letter, fax, telegram or e-mail, you may use the following sample letter—and modify it how you see fit.

Dear Senator:

I know that you believe, like I do, that we must do everything possible to protect children from sexual predators. That is why I am asking for your help.

Last year alone, U.S. law enforcement identified over 300,000 criminals who were trafficking in movies and pictures of young children being raped and tortured. Experts say that one in every three of these criminals has local child victims. Child pornography trafficking over the Internet has given us a trail of evidence that leads straight to their doorsteps, but the vast majority of these children will never be rescued because investigators are overwhelmed, outnumbered and underfunded.

As your constituent, I urge you to do everything in your power to pass the PROTECT Our Children Act (S. 1738, Biden-Hatch). This bipartisan legislation passed the House 415-2, but it is now the victim of petty partisan politics.

Now that we know where these children are and how to protect them, there is no excuse for the Senate to fail to take action this session.

Anniversary!

On this day 2 years ago I said "I DO" to the love of my life.

I married my best friend. I hear a lot of people say that and I always thought it was corny. Then it happened to me.

I fell in love with my best friend.

I wish he were here with me tonight but duty calls. At least I get the remote tonight.

Oh how I love the 8 O'Clock hour!

My house is quiet. You could hear a pin drop in here.

Needless to say all the children are in bed.

There is a God.

Labor Day weekend

We had a pretty good weekend. It was jam packed, as is every weekend!

We had lots of good food, drinks, and fun.

Saturday we went to a BBQ in Bourbon MO. It was a lot of fun. Our friends have 65 acres of AMAZING land. It is AWESOME out there. We rode 4 wheelers and dirt bikes and just goofed off. It was really nice.

Sunday we went to church for an AMAZING service. The preacher was on target with jokes and of course the message came through loud and clear. It was really awesome! One of my mother in laws came along with me. I really enjoyed that. And of course as you all know my dad and sister met us there. I brought all three kids with me and I think Jace really liked it. He is never around kids his own age.

In the afternoon my sister and dad came over and I cooked Sunday dinner for everyone. It was kinda nice to all be together for a meal, even if I had to make it.

In the evening Jason and I went bowling. It was really fun and we both did really well the first game, then we drank beer, 'nuff said.

Saturday night was TERRIBLE with Kara. She slept MAYBE 4 hours the whole night. I am still not sure what is wrong with her but she has an appointment in the AM for a check up, we will know more then. i am pretty sure it is an ear infection or teething.

Monday Jason cut the grass in the am and then we headed to his bosses AWESOME house in the afternoon. We had awesome food and more drinks. They had a really cool deck, half covered half not. I loved it. I would like to do the same thing to my house one day. Sorry no pictures of that day, I forgot my camera :(
